I didn't expect to get anywhere with it, but managed to win the Spinetinglers Short Story Contest with my first effort, which came as quite a surprise. Since then I've made ten paid fiction sales, and picked up a lot of rejections too. I haven't written any short stories for a while because I'm concentrating on getting a novel published. I shall try and post every month, if I get time. Oh well, here goes nothing ...<br /><br />I recently had a story accepted by Dark Moon Digest for their Frightmare's Flash Fiction anthology. The winners of the competition are still to be announced, so I don't know whether I made the top 4 (a frickin' $100 first prize = fingers crossed!) Other than that, I haven't done anything on the short story side for quite some time. Too busy on the novel. Too busy going for the Big Time, shooting for the stars, baby! It's nearly finished, thank fook. When it is finished, I guess that's when the real work will start - trying to flog the damn thing.
